When is the best time to buy your firewood?
Ideally you'd be purchasing your firewood for the next winter in the summer months. If you do need to purchase during winter we take care to cover our firewood to make sure you have the driest available firewood at the most reasonable price in Christchurch.
What type of firewood should I buy?
We sell all types of firewood and recommend buying pine. Pine is economically priced and can be used in all log burners.

How much firewood should I buy?
It really depends on your budget and storage capacity. The general rule of thumb is a household will burn 10 - 12m3 from Autumn to Spring.

What's the best way to store firewood?
If you can, make sure your firewood storage has airflow, if you are covering it with a tarp, raise the tarp above the firewood. Reorder when you have 2m3 left to make sure you always have dry firewood.
